What are some really short and choppy Layered hairstyles?
So my best friend and I are both chopping our hair off in the summer since everyone else is growing their hair.She already knows how she wants her hair but Im not sure about mine.What are some choppy and short hair styles?I don't want a bob but maybe something asymmetrical.Also my style is scene/emo so nothing old lady-ish...thanks:) | Read more Is a boy's mushroom cut OK for a lady? My wife has always worn her hair short, but her most recent style is kind of weird. About a year ago she started wearing her hair in what I call a boy's mushroom cut. Basically the top is cut like a regular short, layered ladies hairstyle, about 1 inch to 1 1/2 inches long. But it starts to get interesting with the back. Basically there is a very straight,severe line cut across the back of her head, from the tops of the ears across. The hair below the line is clipper shaved to stubble. It is the kind of haircut you often see on little boys. I remember back in the late 80's and early 90's it was quite popular, often called a boy's skater cut, but some women at the time wore it also. I think the cut is really cute, but I have never in the past year seen another woman wearing it. Is this style at all common anywhere? Yes it is common... on little boys. But if you search it you'll find that a lot of women wear a mushroom cut. The hair below the line is cut with a #2 guard(1/4"),which is very short,but soft, or even shorter with a #1(1/8")which leaves nothing but stubble. I remember back in the eighties and nineties lots of teenage boys had this cut, and you would see it on girls and women on occasion. I believe it was called a skater cut back then. Nowadays the only time you see this hairstyle is usually on young boys. I have to admit I think it looks really cute on her, even quite sexy, especially when the back is shaved real close. She likes this style alot, but I wonder what people generally think about such a radical style. Well, my first day of school is starting in 2 days and my freakin' hair stylist cut of my long hair and cut it short. I told her I wanted her layered (Asian lady. Only speaked Viet) and she freakin' cut short. So I was wondering if there are any cute hairstyles for short hair. Btw, my hair is like the kid who played as Snake when he was younger in G.I Joe. I looked up that character and could only find a guy in a full mask (covering his hair) But my hair is cut like a boy and sometimes I make a cute fohawk.
